
San Francisco hot yoga is given this nickname due to the fact that the room is at a temperature of 105 degrees Fahrenheit. As you can imagine, you will sweat profusely at this very high temperature while you are performing yoga. It is believed that this high temperature is very good for you. By keeping the temperature this high your muscles will become warm very fast. When your muscles are warm, it is much less likely that you will cause an injury to your muscles. Your muscles will flow easier when you stretch them and you will be able to stretch even further than if you were in a room at a "normal" temperature.
I have been working out for so long without stretching that my muscles were tight and stretching them was out of my body's comfort zone. This was one reason I fell in love with hot yoga. In a heated room you do not immediately feel the effects of stretching because the damp heat lubricates tight muscles but pilates memphis in hours it might be quite a chore to move those sore muscles.
